New Website Launched for VFX: Training the Trainers

Having worked closely with Skillset over the last few months, spherevfx is delighted to announce the release of a unique set of training courses aimed specifically at Skillset Film and Media Academy staff.

The aim of the courses is to close the gap between what is being taught to students and what is actually taking place in the industry. We are aware keeping up-to-date with ever-changing industry practices can be extremely hard.

To bring these industry practices to the Film and Media Academies, spherevfx under the banner of 'VFX: Training the Trainers' has produced nine courses focusing on the current software tools used throughout the film and television industry.

Included are courses on Maya, ZBrush, Mari, PFTrack and Nuke The nine courses will all run multiple times between June and November at key locations across the UK, making it easily accessible for any Media and Film Academies staff to attend.

This project has been funded by the Skillset Film Skills Fund as part of ‘A Bigger Future 2’, the UK film skills strategy. The Skillset Film Skills Fund is supported by the National Lottery through the BFI and the film industry through the Skills Investment Fund. Participant fees for courses are therefore subsidised in order to make the training accessible to as many staff as possible.
